There will be something for everyone. There will be brain tapping climbs, mind blowing descents, trails and tracks, rocks, sand, logs and boardwalks. Your heart rate will be high, your mouth will taste of cold blue steel and you will wish that you didn't have to finish it and go home yet . It will be difficult day. But you won't know it.

The You Yangs Yowie event is an endurance mountain cycle race for the singletrack minded. Entries can be 33, 66 or 99 km solo. The Yowie event is a race in which the competitor may choose their preferred distance. The competition is not only against the individuals but against the terrain, the clock and yourself. It's more than just an event though, it's a total mountain bike festival experience with the emphasis on having fun. There will be great food available, a massage tent, Technical Support, bike retail outlet, entertainment.. Product prizes for competitors and random spot prizes will be awarded.

The You Yangs Yowie course is a 33km loop which is a mix of fun flowing singletrack and fire trails. The course should be achievable by almost all fairly competent mountain bike riders with a reasonable level of fitness. The course itself is achievable by all except for the complete novice or inexperienced mountain bike rider. Each lap of the course will take an average of one and a half hours.
